The Cake! Just the car is the cake...the background is just icing on the cake board. I was pleased with the way it turned out. I wasn't sure what to expect with my first decorated cake...I was just glad I didn't have to use the back-up I had baked in case of disaster. Calvin was so excited about the "car movie" cake for several days when I was working on it at home but didn't eat a single bite of it at the party.
Daddy is lighting the candles for the second time. Calvin immediately blew them out after he lit them the first time before we even sang. Everyone laughed, but Calvin didn't understand why :)

There was a houseful at my parents' for the party! My grandparents from Seattle were even here. It was so neat to have almost all of Calvin's grandparents there--Grandma Gloria is out of state visiting my aunt's family. Grandma and Grandpa came down from Iowa, my great aunt and her husband were there, my grandpa's cousin and his wife, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends... Lots of people stuck around for the evening and Grandma & Grandpa ordered pizza for everyone.
